Summary
Follow a mother's struggle as she battles a disease that threatens to take the life of her child. Diabetes was something that she had never given a second thought to. Its deadly nature was unknown to her until it almost took the life of her youngest son and changed their lives forever. Follow their journey as they learn to cope, face many new challenges and set out to make their lives easier but improve the lives of others touched by this cruel and misunderstood disease.
Writer’s Note
I am a single mother of two wonderful boys with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Calgary. Over nine years ago my life changed forever. Its purpose was clear although the path was filled with many obstacles. Type 1 diabetes moved into our world and over the years has left its mark on me and my family. I sincerely hope that this book will help to educate people on the daily struggles of diabetes and help those living with the disease to understand that they are not alone.
